The way we care about our patients makes our pharmacy different. We have the ability to solve the most difficult medicine problems, differentiating us from other pharmacies. We match medications to patients, rather than matching patients to medications...including both human and animal patients. Through patient education and advice, we hope to become your "Problem Solver."
12/27/11 Happy New Year from the staff at Irsfeld Pharmacy!
12/21/11 Betaine and Pepsin
Did you know your heartburn may be the symptom of too little stomach acid?
While prescription medications work well for people with too much stomach acid, your symptoms of heartburn may be due to too little stomach acid. Having too little stomach acid increases the time it takes your body to digest food, causing indigestion, poor nutrient absorption, and symptoms of heart burn. In fact, as we age our body produces less acid, not more.
Betaine HCl and Pepsin work differently than prescription medications. Betaine HCL increase acid and help digestion for people who do not produce enough acid on their own. Pepsin helps your body digest proteins.
If you suffer from heart burn and it is not releived by prescription medications, such as omeprazole, prevacid or pantoprazole, consider trying Betaine HCl and Pepsin.
